My name is Min, and I am currently in my final year as a music technology student at the Massey College of Creative Arts. Music has been an integral part of my life since my earliest memories, and the sheer joy of performing and immersing myself in music has inspired me to pursue it as a career. My ultimate ambition is to become an all-rounder sound engineer, a goal I'm determined to achieve in an industry predominantly dominated by men. My main focus as a career path is an audio engineer, however I also want to be able to write, play and produce my own songs. As a woman of color, I am resolute in my commitment to change the male dominated world of audio production and sound engineering. Starts by highlighting the amazing work that women do in the fields everyday, inspire and invigorate fellow female audio professionals from afar. I'm equally passionate about encouraging other young women to explore this rewarding career path so that as an audio community, we can strive to achieve parity in the future. Additionally, having been born and raised in Vietnam, where the field of sound engineering is still in its infancy, I aspire to study and gain expertise, with the ultimate aim of returning to my homeland to contribute to the growth of the industry there. I am excited to showcase my journey and the skills I have developed through my education and experiences.
